Hello World! It's Kasside!

Hello all!
My name is Kasside Sahagun-Escalante, I am the current Digital Humanities Initiative assistant. I am also a second year graduate student in the English and Comparative Literature program and my studies are focused on the use of glitch as a feminist practice in different electronic literature pieces.
In addition to being the DHI assistant, I also work as an intern at The Pride Center at SDSU where I help with content creation and host the support group meeting GRADuate. So far it has been a rewarding experience and I have been lucky enough to have multiple of my ideas be approved for The Pride Center's social media including "Queer and Fat", "Queer in Nature", and "Queer Food."
I am also in my second semester of interning for Poetry International where previously I worked with the submissions team, and now I am aiding with outreach and the building of the PI Online website.
In my first year as a graduate student I joined the registered student organization, Networked Narratives, and I now serve as the organizations President. We are currently working on our yearly academic conference, with this year's theme being "Interconnected Identities."
While this may seem like a lot of hats to wear, I enjoy being active in the SDSU community and getting to enjoy a variety of experiences. I hope to take advantage of all that SDSU has to offer while I am still here!
I can often be found spending time with my cohort in the Arts and Letters building or spending late nights in the 24/7 library.
When I am not working, I enjoy playing games on my Nintendo Switch like Fortnite, Tetris, Fire Emblem, and Stardew Valley. I also enjoy watching anime, reading manga, making jewelry, and listening to playlists on Spotify.
Look forward to talking to every one again soon!
